Immersion Class

The Immersion Class is designed for non-French-speaking students who want to join the French education system without yet mastering the language. It offers intensive linguistic and academic support to achieve successful integration into regular classes.

Objective

The main objective of this class is to allow students to quickly acquire a solid base in French to successfully follow the subjects of the national curriculum. In just a few months, students develop the essential language skills to fully integrate into their corresponding level.

In addition to language learning, transversal academic skills are developed: oral comprehension, reading, written expression and participation in class.

Methodology

The methodology combines a communicative and structured approach to learning French, focused on the constant practice of the language in real contexts.

Key principles of the program include:

  • Small groups for personalized attention.
  • Intensive use of French in school and everyday situations.
  • Progression adapted to the pace of each student.
  • Progressive integration into certain classes of the general curriculum (mathematics, art, physical education, etc.) to familiarize yourself with the French school environment.

Trust and active participation are encouraged from day one.

Who can join?

A preparatory class designed for students new to the school or French system who are developing fluency and getting ready for the High School curriculum.

It can be:

  • Children who have been schooled in another educational system.
  • International students learning French as a new language.
  • Motivated students who want to continue their academic career in French.

We determine the appropriate starting level and immersion timeframe based on a personalized assessment of the student's skills.

Admission

We evaluate each student’s profile through a comprehensive review:

  • Academic Review: Analysis of previous school records.
  • Assessment: French language placement test (if needed).
  • Family Interview: A meeting to discuss the program’s objectives.

Following admission, students follow a tailored immersion path with consistent monitoring to track their readiness for transitioning into the mainstream curriculum.
